Elisa’s Gluten Free Chocka Block Brownie
(Makes 20 slices)
⅔ C GF flour
3 C soft brown sugar
1 C cocoa
200g dark chocolate buttons
1-½ Tblsp vanilla essence
Melt butter. Combine flour, sugar and cocoa and mix well ensuring there are no lumps. Add chocolate buttons. Whisk eggs and vanilla essence. Add butter. Combine all ingredients very well. Pour into lined baking tray and cook at 170c until starts cracking on top (about 20-30minutes depending on your oven).
This is quite a large slice and can quite easily be halved.
This recipie is a true hit with everyone. Its chocolatety and its decadent. You can cut it for the cake tin as a quick chocolatety fix, for lunch boxes or you could serve it as a decadent dessert that EVERYONE will love (especially your gluten-free friends). As a dessert its best served warm with a good quality vanilla ice cream and you could even serve with warmed berries.
